I look at this photo taken by Niki Boon and I try to understand; not what is going on, who these kids are, what reality is. Art doesn\u2019t depict reality, it reflects \u201creality\u201d as everyone perceives it.<\/p>\n

Everyone can see this picture the way they want. I see love (and I hear it, too).<\/p>\n

I remember the childhood crushes back then when we were playing, pretending to be adults.<\/p>\n

-Do you want to be the papa and me the mama?
\n-I would do anything.
\n-Would you enter this cage?
\n-If I had to, in order to see you.
\n-Would you get out of this cage?
\n-If I had to, in order to touch you.
\n-Would you die for me?
\n-Children don\u2019t die.<\/p>\n

Children do not die, but they fall in love, too and love is a small death \u2013 and resurrection at the same time.<\/p>\n

Love is life. What would make sense without it?<\/p>\n

I read one of the last interviews of Emmanouil Kriaras who lived to a ripe old age, 107 years old, centenarian and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never longed for this long life, you know\u2026It just happened. I don\u2019t want to live anymore. My joy of life (my wife) is gone. Love \u2013 which her existence alone inspired it \u2013 the love for life, that is creativity and work, the love for creativity, there is no more. So, I thank you for your wishes and the gifts but\u2026they are superfluous.<\/p>\n

Iakovos Kambanellis chose the selfsame way to go when he lost the woman with whom he shared his life.<\/p>\n

It is love that gives life a meaning.<\/p>\n

Not just love for another human being, but love for anything you do.<\/p>\n

Without love, we are simply objects, subjects wandering on earth until we die.<\/p>\n

Love makes you smile, endure, give, create, forget about the bars and limitations. Love is invincible, Sophocles had said so, too.<\/p>\n

Love is a delusion, perhaps the biggest ever.<\/p>\n

The scientists are trying to pinpoint the hormone that is responsible for love, the prototypes that predispose it, the social circumstances that engender it. They try to comprehend the incomprehensible, just like a theologian who thinks that god can fit in a book, a church, a dogma.<\/p>\n

If you want to figure out love, the world, god, then watch the children and learn.<\/p>\n

Because they know no complicated words, neither are over- or mal-educated with wise men’s silly theories.<\/p>\n

Adults regress. The World, the Kingdom of Heaven is their toy.<\/p>\n

\n-For our sake.
\n-To touch your knee with my shoe?
\n-To see you smile.
\n-But you can\u2019t get out.
\n-I don\u2019t want to.
\n-And if I asked for it?
\n-Then I would.<\/p>\n

Love is a socially acceptable form of insanity. People behave irrationally when they are in love, they go against anything that doesn\u2019t fit with their love, they go against the grain, they do things they wouldn’t even dare when in a sober state.<\/p>\n

Love is intoxication but without it, there is nothing worth living for.<\/p>\n

Everything begins with love and everything ends when it\u2019s gone.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s irrational, it\u2019s bizarre, it\u2019s paranoic, it\u2019s human, it\u2019s very human.
\nIt\u2019s total.<\/p>\n

Yes, in the beginning, there was nothing. Then Love was born.
\nWhen Love is absent, there is nothing.<\/p>\n

-Will you be in love with me? Forever? When we won\u2019t be kids anymore?
\n-We will be kids forever.
\n-Why?
\n-Because we\u2019re in love.<\/p>\n
